The company's operations are strategically divided into four primary divisions: Enterprise Finance, Personal Finance, Institutional Services and Trading, and Investment Management. Within its Enterprise Finance segment, Shenwan Hongyuan provides services such as equity and debt financing, financial advisory, and various investment solutions spanning equity, debt, and other asset classes. The Personal Finance division supports individual clients with securities and futures brokerage, margin financing, securities lending, stock-backed loans, investment advisory, and the distribution of financial products. The Institutional Services and Trading segment offers professional institutional clients prime brokerage services, along with research and consulting. It also conducts proprietary trading activities for institutional clients across equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. Finally, the Investment Management segment specializes in asset management, overseeing mutual funds and private equity funds. Originally established in 1988 as Shenyin Wanguo Securities Co., Ltd., the company adopted its current name, Shenwan Hongyuan Group Co., Ltd., in January 2015.
