About
MHP SE, alongside its various subsidiaries, operates as a significant producer and distributor of food and poultry products, serving markets both within Ukraine and globally. The company organizes its extensive operations into four distinct divisions: Poultry & Related Operations, Grain Growing Operations, Meat-Processing & Other Agricultural Operations, and European Operating. Within the Poultry & Related Operations segment, MHP SE is responsible for manufacturing and supplying fresh and frozen chicken, various vegetable oils—including sunflower and soybean—and animal feed. A wide array of these products, under brand names such as Nasha Riaba, Apetytna, Baschinsky, Vinnytski Kurchata, Kurator, Sultanah, Assilah, Al-Hassanat, Home Style Chicken, Ukrainian Chicken, and Chef's Secrets, are specifically targeted for export. Its Grain Growing Operations division focuses on cultivating crops, which are then used both for its own fodder production and for sale to external clients. The Meat-Processing & Other Agricultural Operations segment encompasses the creation and distribution of sausages, processed and ready-to-eat meats, convenience foods, as well as goods derived from cattle and dairy farming. These items are marketed under labels including Bashchinsky, Lehko!, Qualiko, Skott Smeat, and Sytni. Meanwhile, the European Operating segment handles the manufacturing and commercialization of chicken meat and processed poultry products, distributed under the PP and Poli brands. Beyond these core activities, MHP SE is also actively involved in hatching eggs. Additionally, it cultivates a range of crops—including corn, sunflower, soybean seeds, rapeseed, and wheat—for supply to third-party purchasers. Established in 1998, MHP SE maintains its corporate headquarters in Kyiv, Ukraine.

FAQs
Can I buy MHP on Paasa?
MHP (MHPC) has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2008, in the Agricultural Farm Products industry. MHP is not currently available to trade on Paasa; the figures on this page are for information. Indian residents who hold it through another broker still declare it under the rules below.
How much does one MHP share cost in rupees?
One MHP share is $7.18 — about ₹690 at a USD/INR rate of 96.07 on 28 Sep 2026. Both the MHP price and the rupee rate move during the day, so the rupee cost changes with them.
What are the LRS and TCS rules for investing abroad from India?
Remit up to $250,000 per financial year under the RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). Banks collect 20% tax at source on LRS remittances above ₹10 lakh in a financial year; the TCS is adjustable against your income-tax liability.
How are gains on MHP shares taxed in India?
Non-residents are exempt from UK capital gains tax on the disposal of listed shares, so the tax is an India-side one. Gains on shares held for more than 24 months are long-term and taxed at 12.5%. Gains on shares held for 24 months or less are short-term and taxed at your income-tax slab rate. The gain is computed in rupees using the USD/INR rate on the purchase and the sale date, so the rupee move counts alongside the MHP price.
Does MHP pay a dividend?
No. MHP does not currently pay a dividend, so holding it produces no dividend income to declare in India. If it starts paying one, the Indian treatment is the usual one: dividends are taxed at your slab rate in India.
When does LSE trade, in Indian time?
The London Stock Exchange trades 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm IST in Indian time. The window shifts to 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm IST when the UK is on standard time.
Is MHP a United Kingdom company, and does that change how it is taxed?
MHP trades on the London Stock Exchange in US dollars, but the company is domiciled in Ukraine. MHP trades as an ordinary share listed directly in the UK, not a depositary receipt. Your India-side capital-gains treatment is the same either way.
Are there transaction taxes when buying MHP?
The UK charges 0.5% Stamp Duty Reserve Tax when buying direct company shares electronically on the LSE; ETFs and UCITS funds do not attract it. This is charged by the market, not by Paasa.
Do I have to declare MHP shares in my Indian tax return?
Yes. Foreign shares held on 31 March must be reported in Schedule FA of your Indian income-tax return. The holding is reported with its cost and its closing value.
Does the rupee rate affect what I make on MHP?
Yes. MHP is priced in USD, so your rupee outcome combines the USD move with the USD/INR move between the day you remit and the day you convert back.
