Does the rupee rate affect what I make on Manulife Financial?

Yes. Manulife Financial is priced in CAD, so your rupee outcome combines the CAD move with the CAD/INR move between the day you remit and the day you convert back. Both directions are reflected in the capital-gains statement Paasa issues.
