About

Medalist Diversified REIT, Inc. was incorporated in Maryland on September 28, 2015. The company believes it began operating in a manner consistent with Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) qualifications for its fiscal year ending December 31, 2017, and has since elected to be treated as a REIT for federal income tax purposes. Additionally, it serves as the general partner for Medalist Diversified Holdings, LP, a Delaware limited partnership established a day later on September 29, 2015. The company's core business involves the acquisition, enhancement, renovation, leasing, and ongoing management of income-generating real estate assets. Its investment strategy places a primary focus on commercial properties (including flexible industrial and retail spaces), multi-family residential complexes, and limited-service hotel properties.
