Operating globally with key markets in Taiwan and Hong Kong, Silicon Optronics, Inc. and its various subsidiaries are dedicated to the engineering, refinement, and sale of complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors. Their diverse product portfolio includes area sensors, available as either raw components or integrated system-on-chip (SOC) solutions, which are vital for a range of devices such as mobile phones, tablet computers, personal computer cameras, webcams, digital still photography equipment, and security monitoring systems. Furthermore, the company supplies linear sensors, which serve critical functions in document scanning devices, multi-function printing units, barcode readers, fax machines, currency authentication systems, and portable scanning technology. Established in 2004, the firm maintains its corporate headquarters in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
