Nittetsu Mining Co., Ltd., founded in 1939 and based in Tokyo, Japan, operates predominantly as a mining company. Its diverse business activities are structured across five primary divisions: Non-Metallic Minerals, Metallic Minerals, Machinery & Environmental Engineering, Real Estate, and Renewable Energy. The Non-Metallic Minerals segment focuses on extracting and distributing a broad spectrum of industrial materials, including limestone, various types of crushed stone, calcium carbonate, gypsum, wood chips for pulp, silica rock, quicklime, hydrated lime, and dolomite. This division also supplies energy commodities such as petroleum products, coal, and LPG, alongside producing specialty chemical products like fire-retardant and calcium carbonate papers, Asheet shoe insoles, and white limestone. In its Metallic Minerals operations, the company provides essential metals like electrolytic copper, gold, and silver, as well as critical raw materials for steel production and copper ore. The Machinery & Environmental Engineering division is dedicated to offering environmental solutions, supplying products such as wastewater treatment chemicals and dust collectors. It also manufactures specialized machinery for environmental applications, powder processing, and fluid management. Nittetsu Mining's Real Estate arm handles the management and transaction of various properties, encompassing the leasing and sale of office buildings, residential condominiums, retail spaces, factories, warehouses, and other real estate assets. Within the Renewable Energy sector, the company is engaged in exploring and developing geothermal energy sources, including the supply and sale of geothermal steam. Moreover, it generates and sells electricity from its own solar and hydroelectric power facilities. Beyond these core business lines, Nittetsu Mining offers a range of services including geological surveys, geophysical exploration, test boring, and construction consulting. It also actively trades in limestone, crushed stone, and calcium carbonate, manufactures and sells crushing and grinding machinery, and produces electrical equipment, in addition to its direct mining and sales of copper and other mineral resources.
