Beyond its primary manufacturing endeavors, the company also delivers an array of services, spanning logistics management, the handling of bulk chemicals via terminal operations and pipeline transfers, road transportation, and agency representation. Furthermore, it oversees chemical storage facilities, offers expert consultancy, and diversifies its business through investment, trading activities, and property management. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Taipei City, Taiwan, the corporation was previously known as Union Petrochemical Corp. before formally adopting the name UPC Technology Corporation in 2001.
