About
This fund aims to replicate the performance of the MSCI EUROPE UTILITIES SCREENED 20/35 index, which focuses on large and mid-capitalization companies within developed European countries. All included companies are exclusively from the Utilities sector, as defined by the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). The index employs a free-float adjusted market capitalization weighting scheme, adhering to MSCI's Capped Indexes methodology. This ensures the largest corporate group entity is capped at 35% of the index's weight, while all other group entities are limited to 20%. A 10% buffer is applied to these limits during scheduled index rebalancings, with additional ad-hoc monthly adjustments made as necessary. The index also incorporates rigorous environmental, social, and governance (ESG) screening criteria. Companies are excluded if they are involved in controversial weapons, possess an MSCI ESG Rating of 'CCC' or are unrated, generate specific revenues from tobacco, conventional or nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, thermal coal, unconventional or arctic oil and gas extraction, or palm oil. Furthermore, any issuer with an MSCI Controversies Score of zero is also omitted. A notable feature of this index is its commitment to maintaining a lower greenhouse gas intensity compared to its broader parent index. For comprehensive details on the index, its selection criteria, and weighting methodology, please refer to the information provided on msci.com.
