About
The ETF's objective is to mirror the performance of a specific market segment: large and medium-sized corporations in developed Pacific regions, excluding Japan. However, it rigorously screens out companies that fail to meet particular environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. This includes businesses linked to controversial weapons, those assigned a 'CCC' MSCI ESG rating or left unrated, and entities deriving substantial income from tobacco, various forms of conventional and nuclear armaments, civilian firearms, thermal coal, unconventional or Arctic oil and gas extraction, or palm oil. Furthermore, any issuer with an MSCI Controversies Score of zero is ineligible. The fund also targets a reduced greenhouse gas intensity relative to its underlying benchmark. Its composition undergoes a review every three months. Comprehensive information on the index, its selection process, and weighting methodology is accessible via the MSCI website.
