About
The DAX Index is engineered to mirror the performance of top-tier German "blue-chip" companies. These firms are listed in Euros on the FWB Frankfurt Stock Exchange and represent the 40 largest and most liquid corporations. Their weighting within the index is based on their free-float adjusted market capitalization. The index composition undergoes a quarterly review, with the largest single component restricted to a maximum weighting of 15%.
