About
The SparkChange Physical Carbon EUA ETC (CO2) enables investors to gain direct exposure to actual European Union Carbon Allowances (EUAs). Each of these allowances grants the holder permission to emit one tonne of carbon dioxide. By investing in CO2, you effectively remove these permits from the market, thereby actively contributing to the reduction of available emission rights for polluters. This mechanism fosters a competitive environment where both industrial emitters and investors vie for a limited supply of EUAs. The resulting upward pressure on prices is intended to make it progressively more expensive for companies to continue using carbon-intensive fossil fuels. Unlike products that rely on futures contracts, this ETC provides 100% physical backing by EUAs and aims to track their price performance directly, before any fees.
