Testimonials

“Very useful platform for me in order to access US stock markets from India, and Nitish and his team make the onboarding process pretty seamless. Their offering of customised stock baskets for the US market is pretty unique - I'm a happy user and wish they grow from strength to strength!”

“Craft matters. Paasa's experience is clean, but the real win is the rigor behind it; I needed clarity. Paasa delivered - FEMA guidance I could act on, onboarding that just worked, and portfolios that felt built for diversification of RSUs, not retrofitted. Disclosure: I'm an angel investor in Paasa.”
Deepak Menon

FAQs
Is it legal for Indians to invest in Singapore stocks?›
Yes. Under the RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), resident Indians can invest up to USD 250,000 per financial year in foreign securities, including Singapore-listed stocks, ETFs, and REITs on the SGX.
Are Singapore dividends taxable for Indian investors?›
In Singapore, dividends from resident companies are tax-free with zero withholding tax. For Indian residents, these dividends are taxable only in India at the applicable income tax slab rate.
Are Singapore REITs (S-REITs) attractive for Indians?›
Absolutely. S-REITs are designed for income stability and must distribute at least 90% of their taxable income to unitholders by law. Most deliver 4–6% annual yields, backed by predictable rental cash flows.
Is there a capital gains tax in Singapore?›
No. Singapore does not levy capital gains tax on the sale of shares, ETFs, or REITs for individuals.
Do I face estate-tax risks holding Singapore assets?›

Do I need a Singapore bank account to invest on SGX?›
No. Paasa and its global custodians handle all currency conversion (INR to SGD) and settlement automatically. Funds are remitted directly from your Indian bank under LRS.
Does Singapore charge stamp duty on trades?›
No. Singapore does not levy stamp duty or transaction tax on the purchase or sale of listed equities or REITs.
